Our product emphasis is on the production of formulated ceramic dielectric materials for multilayer ceramic capacitors, electrode inks for MLCC's, and the production of prototype electronic components including, but not limited to, multilayer high voltage and high temperature capacitors, multilayer ceramic actuators, ceramic sensors, ceramic substrates, and co-fired dual dielectric devices.

We also provide leading edge technology solutions to our customers utilizing our state-of-the-art analytical laboratories and our highly competent technical staff. Our analytical services division can also provide component and material evaluation, component failure analysis and HALT life-testing services.

The MRA staff is an internationally recognized electronic materials team with more than 100 years of combined experience in ceramic dielectric materials, metallization and component manufacturing. Our research group has developed over 50 patents and publications in the field of ceramic dielectric materials and multilayer ceramic chip capacitors. The combination of component, material and electrode research and development, coupled with our captive manufacturing capabilities, enables MRA to become the logical technology extension to you, our valued customer.

History

Founded in March 1990, MRA was originally the research and development organization of the Sprague Electric Company. It is now an independent corporation.

The most important resource of MRA is the professional staff, the people who provide the skills and expertise and whose reputations are renowned and respected in the technical community. The accomplishments of the staff are evidenced by the substantial number of patents and publications they have authored.

MRA Laboratories was originally conceived by the founders as a Materials Research and Analysis laboratory structured to provide services ranging from research and product development to material evaluation and testing. With a blend of experience and the youthful dedication of the technical staff, in just a few short years MRA has expanded into the prototype and specialty manufacturing of multi-layer capacitors and the development and marketing of customized dielectric and electrode compositions.
